Content Optimization
The AI content optimization workflow
Writing the draft is the easy part. Turning that draft into something that ranks, converts, and gets remembered is the work — and where AI quietly does the most lifting.
Pass 1 — Structural review
Paste the draft and ask: "Is the H2/H3 hierarchy aligned with reader intent? Where does the argument lose momentum?" Restructure before editing prose. Editing a broken structure is wasted time.
Pass 2 — Clarity and compression
Run the Paraphraser in "simple" or "fluency" mode on dense paragraphs. Cut anything that doesn't move the reader forward. Aim for 20% shorter without losing substance.
Pass 3 — Voice and tone
Tone Rewriter with your voice sample. This is where AI drafts stop sounding like AI drafts. If you skip this pass, the post reads like every other post on the SERP.
Pass 4 — SEO surface
Tighten the title, meta description, H2s, and intro. Add a 40–55 word direct answer right after the H2 that targets the snippet query. Save the chain — every future post benefits.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between editing and optimization?
Editing fixes mistakes. Optimization makes content perform — for readers and search engines. The first is correctness; the second is impact.
Should I optimize before or after I publish?
Both. Optimize before to ship well. Re-optimize 60–90 days after based on actual ranking and engagement data.
How do I know what to cut?
Read each paragraph and ask: does this advance the reader's goal? If not, cut. Most drafts are 20% longer than they should be.
Is keyword density still relevant?
Barely. Search engines look for topical coverage and intent match. One natural keyword mention and strong related-term coverage beats forced repetition.
What about featured snippets?
Answer the query in 40–55 words right after the H2 that contains it. That single pattern wins more snippets than any other.
